Sat 8th June 2024 on the Green

Carnival Day Events for 2024

The Carnival starts from Rectory Close at 12pm with the Green open for all activities at the same time.

The Route

Woodchurch Carnival Parade is inclusive to all.  You may be walking alone, in a group or have a float in the form of vehicle mechanically powered or manual powered.

The route is approximately 1.4 miles and around 27 minutes walking time.

The Start point is Rectory Close at 12pm, marked by blue triangle.

The route passes the two Public Houses (in the past this area has always been a busy view point for spectators).  We then pass the Green for the first time and head towards the garages and Post Office down Front Road.

We will turn left at the junction of Front and Lower Road to head back up towards the Green. This area is perceived to be fairly slow.

As we reach the cross roads by the old Scout Hut another left turn to head up the Green road.  All vehicles will stop adjacent to the Green on the road, whilst those on foot and other manual transportation can move onto the Green.

Some people may wish to join the parade but feel they may struggle on the distance.  Please be assured we will support and ensure you take part.  On the Entry Form PLEASE add a note and a team member will arrange to talk on best options for you.

Souvenir Programme

The Carnival Souvenir Programme will be on sale on the day for £1.00.  It is also being sold in advance at the HUB.

Each programme is individually numbered and the draw will take place on the day of the Carnival (8 June 2024) and announced over the PA system at around 5.00 pm.

The winning number if not claimed on the day will be posted on the Woodchurch Carnival Website.

The prize will be held for 24 hours and if not claimed will be redrawn.

Please retain your programme until the prize is claimed.
